2 BASC Extension Projects win Best Paper Awards in ICAST 2024
With their papers entitled “Upscaling of Rice-Based Integrated Farming System in Bulacan” and “Strengthening Communities Affected by Covid-19 Pandemic thru Urban Gardening in Bulacan,” Dr. Imelda S.A. Navarro and Mrs. Adela Chaves won 2nd and 3rd Best Paper Awards, respectively, during the International Conference on Agricultural Sciences and Technology (ICAST 2024) held at Royce Hotel, Clark, Pampanga last March 13-15, 2024.

The ICAST 2024 was hosted by Philippine Association of Agriculturists Region III – Tamarind Chapter and Pampanga Agricultural State University (PSAU), and co-organized by Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities (AAACU) and Sustainable Agriculture Food and Energy (SAFE) Network with the theme “Digitally Sustaining Our Future: Exploring the Application of Emerging Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability.”
