Faculty Researchers Present Papers And Win Awards In IRConTECS 2022

Three BASC faculty researchers, namely Dr. Honeylet J. Nicolas, Ms. Nikki Ann V. Macabontoc, and Ms. Cynthia M. Sanchez presented their research papers during the recently concluded International Research Conference on Technology, Engineering, Society and Culture (IRConTECS 2022). This conference was hosted by Bicol State College of Applied Science and Technology (BISCAST) in partnership with International Cross-Cultural and Professional Development (ICEPD-Thailand) and co-hosted by Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), Suphanburi College of Dramatic Arts, Ministry of Culture, Thailand and Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU). It was held last August 25-27, 2022 via Virtual Conference (Zoom).

The research papers presented in the said conference were as follows: 1. Acceptability of Rabbit Pelt Products Made with Different Formulations and Techniques (Dr. Honeylet J. Nicolas and her team); 2. Remote Learning Experiences of Education Students: A Phenomenological Study (Ms. Cynthia M. Sanchez); and 3. Exploring Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) Students’ Social Media Literacy (Ms. Nikki Ann V. Macabontoc).

In the conclusion of the research conference, the Bulacan Agricultural State College received the following awards thru: Ms. Nikki Ann V. Macabontoc – 2nd Place, Best Virtual Research Presenter under Track #9: Teaching and Learning; and Dr. Honeylet J. Nicolas – 2nd Place, Best Conference Research Paper under Food, Agriculture, and Environment Cluster; 1st Place, Best Virtual Research Presenter under Track #3: Food Production and Technology; and Researcher Excellence Award (Silver).
