Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) concluded the accreditation survey visit of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) for three of its academic programs, marking another significant step in the institution’s continuing pursuit of quality and excellence in higher education.

The accreditation activities covered the Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry offered at the Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT) Campus, were subjected to Third Survey Visit (Phase 2) survey from September 23 to 25, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management, underwent a Preliminary Survey Visit from September 21 to 25.

The series of accreditation activities formally concluded on September 25 through an Exit Conference and Closing Program, during which the AACCUP accreditors presented their general impressions following the evaluation of the programs.

Dr. Emerson V. Barcellano, Coordinator of the accreditation team, delivered the general impression, providing insights drawn from the survey team’s assessment. The exit conference served as an important culmination of the accreditation process, allowing BASC officials and personnel to hear the accreditors’ observations following days of evaluation and validation.

In response, Dr. Jameson H. Tan, SUC President, delivered the College’s pledge of commitment and message, reaffirming BASC’s resolve to continuously strengthen its academic programs and institutional practices. His message underscored the value of accreditation not merely as a requirement, but as part of the College’s continuing effort to provide quality and responsive education to its students.

Engr. Alvin G. Quizon, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, led the awarding of certificates, while Dr. Honeylet J. Nicolas, Vice President for Research, Extension and Production, delivered the closing remarks.

While the official accreditation results have yet to be released by AACCUP, the completion of the survey visit was met with optimism by the BASC community. The College now awaits the formal results, hopeful that the collective preparation and commitment demonstrated throughout the evaluation will translate into favorable outcomes for all three programs.

As BASC awaits the official verdict, the College remains steadfast in its pursuit of stronger academic programs and higher standards, guided by the goal of providing its students with an education that is relevant, responsive, and continually improving.
