BASC ABE Students Win Big at 36th PAE Week, 74th PSABE Convention, and 21st ABE Conference

Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) students have once again proven their mettle on the national stage, emerging as top performers in the prestigious 36th Philippine Agricultural Engineering Week, 74th Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) National Convention, and the 21st Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) Conference and Exhibition, held from April 20 to 25, 2025, at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel in Iloilo City.

This annual week-long gathering, in line with Presidential Proclamation No. 399, is a celebration of excellence and innovation in the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering. It brings together professionals, educators, and students from across the country to exchange ideas, present research, and compete in academic and technical challenges.

Representing BASC with excellence were Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABEn) students Paul William Z. Maravillas, Mark Eugene S. Mariñas, Emanuela T. Mila, John Cedric E. Espinosa, Gabriela Joyce P. Barrientos, Russel James C. Verde, Ivan Mark Dimla and Christian T. Clemente under the guidance of Dr. Anthony C. Ortega, faculty member of the BASC College of Engineering and Technology.

Among the highlights of their achievements are:

🥇 1st Place in the ABE Mechatronics Competition – Paul William Z. Maravillas and Mark Eugene S. Mariñas

🥈 2nd Place in the Mobile Legends Competition  –  John Cedric E. Espinosa, Gabriela Joyce P. Barrientos, Russel James C. Verde, Ivan Mark Dimla and Christian T. Clemente.

🥉 3rd Place in the ABE Quiz Bee – Paul William Z. Maravillas, Mark Eugene S. Mariñas, and Emanuela T. Milla

🥉 3rd Place in the Essay Writing – Mark Eugene S. Mariñas

Their stellar performance reflects not only their dedication and skill but also BASC’s strong foundation in agricultural engineering education and innovation. These accomplishments affirm the college’s commitment to producing globally competitive professionals in the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering.
