BASC Launches 'Inkside Out: Forda Heal na ang Artmosphere' Mental Wellness Campaign

SAN ILDEFONSO, Bulacan — In observance of Suicide Prevention Month in September, and World Mental Health Month in October, the Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) , through the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), has launched “Inkside Out: Forda Heal na ang Artmosphere.” The initiative, a collaboration between the BASC student organization Safe Space Allies (SSA) and the OSAS, officially began on September 12, 2025, at the OSAS Testing Room on the 2nd Floor of the OSAS Building.

The program runs every Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and aims to provide a creative outlet for students to improve their mental and emotional well-being. The initiative was formally opened by Ms. Sunshine Joy N. Benosa, SSA Adviser and Guidance Coordinator, who delivered the opening remarks. Sessions are facilitated by Mr. Genesis T. Guevarra, SSA Vice President, and participants are guided through various art therapy activities, including painting, drawing, and collage.

The program is designed to achieve three key objectives: to promote mental health awareness and advocacy among university students and members of the organization; to create a safe space for students to express emotions through creative activities; and to prioritize mental and emotional well-being by launching creative and sustainable activities that contribute to mental health engagement.

At the end of the program, the organizers will feature an exhibit showcasing the participants’ masterpieces, highlighting the creative expressions and progress made throughout the sessions. The successful launch of this initiative underscores BASC’s unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and healthy environment for its student community.
