The Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) takes pride as Mr. Yosef Eric C. Hipolito, faculty member of the BASC Institute of Arts and Sciences, Ms. Marielle G. Vergara, faculty from the College of Engineering and Technology, and the BASC Liping Tagalog Folkloric Group (LTFG), a cultural group of student performers, were hailed recipients of the 2025 General Faustino Quijano Awards given by the Local Government of San Ildefonso, during the awarding ceremony held March 10, 2025 at the New San Ildefonso Municipal Hall in Brgy. Anyatam.

Mr. Hipolito was conferred the General Faustino Quijano Award for Research – Huwarang Kabataan na Nagsaliksik sa Buhay ni Heneral Faustino Quijano Award, while Ms. Vergara received the Natatanging Kabataang Manggagawa (Government Employee) Award. Meanwhile, the BASC LTFG was conferred the prestigious General Faustino Quijano Award – Natatanging Kabataan sa Sining at Kultura.

Mr. Yosef Eric C. Hipolito, in his acceptance message, dedicated the honor not only to himself but to the Filipino nation. Meanwhile, the representatives of the BASC LTFG, along with their coach Mr. Regulus Caibigan, faculty of the BASC College of Management, expressed heartfelt gratitude to BASC President Dr. Jameson H. Tan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Cecilia Santiago, and Cultural Affairs Development Office Director Dr. Ma. Leonora C. Sta. Ana for their steadfast support and trust in the group.

Organized by the Municipality of San Ildefonso headed by Municipal Mayor Fernando “Gazo” Galvez Jr. through the San Ildefonso Youth Development Office, the 2025 General Faustino Quijano Awards was held for the first time in the municipality to honor young leaders and institutions excelling in the fields of research, arts, and culture.

These remarkable achievements underscore BASC’s unwavering commitment to advancing academic excellence, preserving cultural heritage, and empowering the youth. They reflect the institution’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals who contribute meaningfully to nation-building, uphold the legacy of Filipino identity, and inspire positive change in their communities and beyond.
