SAN ILDEFONSO, Bulacan — Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) recently hosted an orientation seminar to introduce its graduates to global career prospects in landscaping and agriculture in Japan.

Held on August 20, 2025, at BASC Main Campus Function Hall, the event was a collaborative effort with Xtreme Offshore Outsourcing Inc., a team of highly experienced professionals based in the Philippines. The company, which specializes in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Business Transformation Outsourcing (BTO), uses innovative tools and strategic, tailored solutions to enhance client growth and efficiency.

The seminar featured insights from Mr. Koichi Koh, President of Xtreme Offshore Outsourcing Inc. (XOO Inc.), and Mr. Tai Takakuwa, who provided a valuable overview of the Japanese agricultural industry.

A comprehensive presentation was delivered by Ms. Alyssa Jane Mabagos and Ms. Shiela E. Lastico. They provided a detailed overview of the program, including qualifications and benefits. The topics covered included career alignment, an overview of residence and visa status, and the various opportunities available in Japan. Also present were key BASC officials, including Dr. Cecilia S. Santiago, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Meriam F. Sulit, Director for International Affairs.

The seminar was well-attended by BASC graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering programs, who showed great interest in the international opportunities presented. This initiative highlights BASC’s ongoing commitment to enhancing graduate employability and fostering strong partnerships that create promising career paths both locally and internationally.
