JUST NOW: hands-on training and seminar sessions on the production and utilization of Metarhizium anisopliae for vegetable pest control
๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐: The management team of the research project “BASC ๐๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ด๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฆ Production and Utilization in Bulacan,” led by the Research Director, Mr. Rael C. Tejada, in collaboration with the BASC Extension Services Office, 4-H Club BASC Chapter, and Guild of Future Agriculturists, spearheaded the conduct of hands-on training and seminar sessions earlier today on the production and utilization of ๐๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ด๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฆ for vegetable pest control. The training, held at the Farmers’ Training Center, BASC, Pinaod, San Ildefonso, Bulacan, aims to provide participants with knowledge about ๐๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ด๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฆ, a green muscardine fungus, as a biocontrol agent.
Mrs. Marietta DL. Agregado, Mr. Evergilio M. Aquino, Jr., and Mr. Pedro L. Sanchez from the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office IIIโRegional Crop Protection Center served as the resource speakers. They shared their expertise with the participants by explaining how to utilize ๐๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ด๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฆ as a biocontrol agent on their farms. They also conducted hands-on training on the proper application methods of ๐๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ.
