Bulacan Agricultural State College welcomes the delegates from the National Institute of Workforce Development (Instituto Nacional de Desenvolvimento de Mao-de-Obra – INDMO) of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste on August 07, 2019 at Rene Cayetano Hall for a study visit.
BASC President Dr. Jameson H. Tan acknowledges the team headed by Mr. Arlindo da Costa, Senior Officer for Qualification and Industrial Linkages, in their objective to conduct a “Comparative Study on Certification and Qualification for Technical Education and Skills Development in Agriculture.” It was the second visit of the delegation from Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste,
Thirty BASC college officials, faculty and students joined the program to learn and share valued experiences in vocational training in agricultural crops. The expertise of Dr. Levi P. Siazar as Competency Assessor of Agricultural Crop Production NC III and Organic Agriculture NC II served as reference of the INDMO team in “improving their training regulations both in agronomic and horticultural crops.”
The INDMO was established in 2008 and is designated and recognized institution to supervise and provide accreditation for the establishment of technical and skill development education institutions in Timor-Leste. Since its establishment in 2008, INDMO has been engaging various public and private entities and other international agencies in executing and monitoring its core programs.
Members of the INDMO team from Timor Leste were Mrs. Evangelina Domingas Correia Guterres, Senior Officer for TVET; Mr. Leonel Casimiro Araujo, Senior Consultant for Employment Policy; Mr. Jose Mendes Nono, Senior Officer of Counterpart Fund Affairs; and Mr Aquiles Salvador Guterres, National Adviser-Institutional Strengthening. With them are two embassy officials, Mr. Pedro Laranjeira, Third Secretary, and Mr. Pankrasio Silveiro, Immigration Attache.
